The Roseraie du Val-de-Marne was conceived by Jules Gravereaux, aided by the celebrated landscape architect Edouard André. Out of their collaboration was born the world’s first Rose Garden, where the rose is the only vegetative decorative component. This was a veritable revolution in the art of garden design.
It also represented the first collection of living roses. Several thousands of varieties are represented in this fabulous garden !
